An announcement by the International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) to approve hair salons to operate during the third phase of the movement control order is not final, says Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The senior minister in charge of security cluster told a press conference in Putrajaya this afternoon that the list of industries to be allowed to open for business starting from April 15 does not mean they are going to be automatically implemented.
According to him, the plan was also meant only for areas that are considered as "green zones" by the health authorities.
"The decision would be made by Miti, and the plan was only for the green zones, and not for areas in the red zone and such.
"The details and standard operating procedures would be issued by Miti," he said.
Ismail said the ministry would explain the matter further in a press statement to be released soon.
