Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly has resigned after leaked audio showed him referring to ousted commander of the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt, Brett Crozier, as "too naive or too stupid to be a commanding officer” in a profanity-laced speech to the crew left onboard the carrier after Crozier's dismissal. The address caused an uproar, and several Democratic lawmakers demanded Modly resign or be fired. Modly later apologized for his remarks after previously defending them, then apologized again after he resigned. After Modly resigned on April 6, President Donald Trump said it was “unfortunate." Nearly 600 sailors on the Roosevelt have tested positive for COVID-19 and one sailor who tested positive has died of coronavirus.Music Credit: 'Hip-Hop Trap Beat - "Scars"' by Curtis Harris
