HUAINING, ANHUI, CHINA — After spending the last five centuries buried deep beneath the earth, a man's corpse was dug up in Huaining county in Anhui province.
The unsuspecting villagers unearthed the man's coffin while leveling off some ground; inside was a body that certainly does not look a half-millennia dead.
As residents trampled through the mud to get a closer look, they saw that the tombstone marked the man as being buried during the reign of the Zhengde Emperor which was in 1505-1521, in the Ming dynasty.
As quickly as they unearthed it, the local cultural relics bureau confirmed the dating and then deemed it of no real archaeological value.
