India reported its first death due to coronavirus on Thursday night. A 76-year-old man from Kalburgi of Karnataka, who died two days ago, was confirmed as a coronavirus patient in later tests. Coronavirus cases in India have risen to 73, with states like Kerala, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh recording maximum number of cases. A new case has emerged in Andhra Pradesh. The government has also stepped up its efforts on war footing to contain the deadly virus, which has claimed over 4,000 lives worldwide.
