Footage shows Thai locals enjoying an unusual rice beating competition.
The event was a part of the community annual domestic rice seed preservation festival in Songkhla, southern Thailand.
The rice pounding is a traditional method of processing rice from paddy fields.
The competition had six teams with two members in each, competing against each other to pound the paddy field fodder into rice.
The winners were those that could produce the most rice, but the competitors appeared to be more focused on having fun.
The video from March 1 shows the competitors were having fun dancing while pounding the rice.
One of the competitors said they just want to have fun at the annual festival. She said: "The festival is only held once a year and we want it to be a colourful festival.
"We want the prize but there are not many occasions when people gather in the community together and I think it is better to make it memorable."
