Hope Hicks to Return to
White House as Senior Adviser In March 2018, Hicks left her role as
White House communications director. Her decision came amidst a probe by
Special Counsel Robert Mueller into
Russian election interference and obstruction of justice. Hicks met with Mueller's team multiple times and
testified before the House Intelligence Committee . On the president's behalf, Hicks admitted during that testimony to telling "white lies." The 31-year-old has worked at
Fox Corporation since her departure. Now, Hicks will act as
counselor to the president. Sources tell ABC News Hicks will return to the White House
in a matter of weeks, and she will report to Jared Kushner.
