China is battling a new, mysterious and fast-spreading form of respiratory virus known as coronavirus, or 2019-nCoV. Since being first discovered in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, the outbreak has killed more than 630 people in China and has infected over 31,400 people worldwide. The flu-like virus has spread throughout at least 25 countries including the U.S., France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and India. The World Health Organization has declared the Wuhan coronavirus a public health emergency of international concern.
