The Havan Kund is used for Soma who delivers to the Gods through fire. The Havan Kund is made according to the altar. The Havan Kund of an altar is used to cook daily food. The Havan Kund of the Bi Vedi is used by ordinary Brahmins for their daily humane actions. The Trivedi Havan Kund is done to fulfill the desires of Sat Raj and all the three types. The Chaturvedi Havan Kund is used for the attainment of Dharma Artha Kama and Moksha. The altar in Havan Kunda is square in shape and is built in width and height according to the work plan in the form of steps.
अग्नि के द्वारा देवताओं को पहुंचाने वाले सोम के लिये हवन कुंड का प्रयोग किया जाता है। हवन कुंड को वेदी के अनुसार बनाया जाता है। एक वेदी का हवन कुंड रोजाना के भोजन को पकाने के काम में लिया जाता है। द्वि वेदी का हवन कुंड साधारण ब्राह्मण के द्वारा अपनी दैनिक हवनात्मक क्रिया के लिये प्रयोग किया जाता है। त्रिवेदीय हवन कुंड को सत रज और तम तीनो प्रकार की आकांक्षाओं की पूर्ति के लिये किया जाता है। चतुर्वेदीय हवन कुंड को धर्म अर्थ काम और मोक्ष की प्राप्ति के निमित्त प्रयोग किया जाता है। हवन कुंड में वेदी का आकार वर्गाकार होता है और सीढियों के रूप में कार्य योजना के अनुसार चौडाई और ऊंचाई में बनाया जाता है।
