Chicken Reshmi or Murgh Reshmi is a very delicious and melt in mouth dish.It is called Reshmi Chicken because Reshmi means silk and this dish also have very silky ,melt in mouth and soft texture.Reshmi chicken is prepared by marinating chicken with curd and spices then cooked in creamy gravy.Today I am sharing my easiest version of this recipe.Prepare this recipe for parties and festivals,it goes well with butter naan or paratha's. Ingredient for the recipe :
For marination: -(time 1 hr)
-1 kg chicken cut in 12 to 16 pieces
-1 + 1/2 cup thick curd/dahi
-50 gm cashew nut /kaju paste(soak in warm water and grind to fine paste)
-2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste/adrak-lehsun paste
-1 tbsp raw papaya paste/kachhe papite ka paste(grind with its outer peel)
-1 tsp salt/namak or as per taste
-1 tsp red chili/laal mirch powder or as per taste
-3/4 tsp black pepper powder/kali mirch powder
-3/4 tsp turmeric/haldi powder
-1 tsp whole spice powder/garam masala(prefer homemade)
-1/3 cup chopped green coriander/hara dhaniya
-1/2 tsp green cardamom/hari elaichi powder
For gravy preparation:-
-1/2 cup oil/tel
-4 whole cloves/laung sabit
-4 whole green cardamom/hari elaichi sabit
-1/3 cup chopped green coriander/hara dhaniya
-5 to 6 slit green chilies/hari mirch or as per taste
-1/3 cup of thick fresh cream
-1/3 cup of milk/doodh
-some green coriander/hara dhaniya for garnishing
Notes: If possible marinate chicken for 1 hr or else you can cook after 30 mins also.
Always use proper measuring cups and spoons for perfect measurement.
