Megan Thee Stallion Opens up About Losing Mother and Great-Grandmother.
In an Instagram post on Dec. 25,
Megan Thee Stallion opened up about
spending her first Christmas without
her mother and great-grandmother.
In March, she lost her mother,
Holly “Holly-Wood” Thomas,
to a brain tumor.
Just weeks afterwards, the singer's
great-grandmother also died.
According to Megan, although she tries to
"keep a smile on [her] face," she still has a
"hard" time dealing with their deaths. .
I’ve been trying to do good, been trying
to keep a smile on my face, stay strong,
to stay happy for me and my other
grandmother and the rest of my
family, it's pretty hard, Megan Thee Stallion, via Instagram.
She then went on to say that they
"raised [her] to be strong" and that
she would work hard to "make
them proud of [her].".
They raised me to be strong so I’m going
to continue to be strong and make them
proud of me ... I’m going to continue to
get better and grow into the woman

Megan ended her message by sending her best
wishes to fans going through the same struggles.
