Vitalant needs Blood Heroes this winter. The holidays and winter are one of the toughest times of the year for maintaining blood donations. We have an increase in the population due to colder temperatures elsewhere and this leads to a greater need for blood in our hospitals. On top of this blood drive donations have less attendance as people focus on the holidays and often leave town to visit family. Cold and flu season can also dramatically impact donations. There are also great incentives for donating! A donor can be as young as 16 with parent’s permission and there is no upper age limit.
