Rescuers struggled to send a crocodile back to the reservoir at Basavasagar dam near Muddebihal on December 8.
The adult crocodile was found walking on a pathway after managing to climb the steep dam wall.
A rescue team quickly assembled and managed to corner the crocodile working with just ropes and sticks.
They then hauled the animal over the wall, where it is then prompted with a stick to return to the water.
