Appeals Court Rules Trump Must Turn Over Financial Records.
The 2nd US Circuit
Court of Appeals
in New York made
the ruling on Tuesday.
Central to the ruling are
subpoenaed financial records
of President Donald Trump from
both Capital One and Deutsche Bank.
In addition to Trump's tax returns,
the records were subpoenaed by the House
Intelligence and Financial Services committees.
Trump appealed the lower
court's denial of an injunction
to block the subpoena.
Following the court's ruling
on Tuesday, Trump's personal
attorney indicated a Supreme
Court appeal would follow. .
We believe the subpoena is invalid as issued. In light of the Second Circuit decision, we are evaluating our next options including seeking review at the Supreme Court of the United States, Jay Sekulow, Trump Attorney, via CNN.
The appeals court stated that
the banks must begin handing
over the documents within one week
