Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan attended a vigil in Guildhall Yard in the City of London on Monday morning (December 2) for the victims of last Friday's terror attack on London Bridge.
Khan said at the vigil: "We come together this morning as Londoners to remember, to honour, and to mourn the innocent lives lost as a result of the horrific terrorist attack this Friday. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Jack Merritt and Saskia Jones, and all those injured or affected by the attack on Friday."
The Mayor of London also called for us to "take hope from the heroism of ordinary Londoners and our emergency services who ran towards danger risking their lives to help people they didn't even know"
"We come together this morning with condolences, but also in a spirit of defiance to say that London will never be cowed or intimidated by terrorism."
