This happened because the BJP withdrew its candidate Kishan Kathore. Patole, the candidate of the ruling Mahavikas Aghadi, has taken over the post of speaker.
कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता नाना पटोले को निर्विरोध महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा का स्पीकर चुन लिया गया. ऐसा इसलिए हुआ क्योंकि बीजेपी ने अपने उम्मीदवार किशन कठोरे का नाम वापस ले लिया. सत्तारूढ़ महाविकास अघाड़ी के उम्मीदवार पटोले ने स्पीकर पद का कार्यभार संभाल लिया है.
