A suspected bank robber was taken to hospital on Saturday (November 30th) after leaping from a subway platform in New York to avoid arrest.
Police pursued the man on foot suspecting he had robbed Santander Bank in Astoria.
Police apprehended the men after he jumped from an elevated subway platform onto the street below where witnesses said he hit his head.
Police said the injuries appeared not to be life-threatening
