A 12-year-old girl was stopped by Kerala Police from entering into Sabarimala Temple. The girl was stopped at a guard room during the trek. She broke down in tears after being stopped. Kerala Government announced that they will not provide any special security to feminist groups after the Supreme Court referred review petition to a larger bench. Last year, the apex court allowed women of all age groups to enter the temple.
