President Moon Jae-in says he is looking forward to inviting all 10 ASEAN leaders for the commemorative summit happening just a week away from now.
In an op-ed contributed to the Asia News Network, a coalition of two dozen major news organizations in ASEAN nations- the Korean president said he believes the leaders will 'join in the journey toward establishing permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula as reliable friends and advisers.'
He added that he’s looking forward to in-depth discussions on peace in the region and in East Asia during the upcoming summits.
Moon said the Korean peace is closely related to bringing stability throughout East Asia and ASEAN member nations so far have actively contributed in advancing peace through dialogue.
