Self-exiled Cambodian opposition leader Sam Rainsy spoke to the press after meeting with MPs from both Pakatan Harapan and the opposition at the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday.
The 70-year-old said he would be staying around the region and return to Cambodia when the time is right.
Hun Sen's government has characterised Sam Rainsy's plan to return home as a coup but said there was no bar on him, other than his own reluctance to face the law.
