Bánh mì or banh mi is the Vietnamese word for bread. In Vietnamese cuisine, also known as Saigon bread (bánh mì Sài Gòn) it also refers to a type of baguette which is often split lengthwise and filled with various savory ingredients as a sandwich and served as a meal. Plain banh mi is also eaten as a staple food
If “chè” is translated into English, it means tea. However, in Vietnam, we have a totally different definition for this type of food. The term “chè” refers to a Vietnamese sweet beverage or dessert soup. This somehow explains why “chè” is one of the first “must-try” foods when you visit Vietnam
