A hunter in Arkansas died after the deer he shot attacked him. Newsweek reports that, after firing his gun, sixty-six-year-old Thomas Alexander approached the buck to check on whether he'd killed it and soon learned he had not. The hunter suffered a number of puncture wounds but was able to call his family, who contacted emergency services. Alexander was found alive and taken to an area hospital, where he passed away. According to KY3, Keith Stephens, chief of communication for the Game and Fish Commission, said that it's unclear if the death was caused by the deer or something else like a heart attack. "It's my understanding there's not going to be an autopsy, so we may never know what actually happened," Stephens also noted.
