As the city entered its 20th consecutive weekend of anti-government protests, triggered by the now-abandoned extradition bill, more than a thousand people gathered in Central, Hong Kong on October 19, 2019, to pray and call for international support for the city. Earlier, a 19-year-old man was stabbed in Tai Po in the New Territories.
