These Foods May Help Prevent Memory Loss One in nine Americans over
age 45 have reported experiencing
“cognitive decline,” such as
confusion or memory loss. Harvard University conducted a
20-year study that had promising results
for the prevention of cognitive decline. The study followed almost 23,000 male health professionals with an average starting age of 51. The three specific foods linked to
memory loss prevention in men were
orange juice, leafy greens and berries. The participants were required
to take subjective thinking and
memory skills tests. The researchers concluded that orange and red vegetables were helpful in preventing memory loss. These foods can be incorporated into
your daily diet through salads or smoothies, adding berries to your oatmeal or
by placing your meal on a bed of greens.
