Mikaela calls herself a 'disfigured princess' as she was born with Crouzon syndrome, which affects the shape of her head and face. She says dealing with gender dysphoria as a transgender woman is even harder when people aren't accepting of your disfigurement. However, she told PinkNews: "I'm glad I am a disfigured, gay, trans woman."
