Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad joked on the possibility of traffic jams in the sky when answering a question on the flying car.
At a press conference after the launch of the National Transport Policy 2019-2030, Dr Mahathir was asked if the country was ready, in terms of safety regulations, for a flying car given that a prototype will be ready by the end of the year.
Despite talks that a prototype of a “flying car” is slated to be launched by the end of this year, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad said that Malaysia is not ready for the commercial use of flying auto-mobiles, as safety regulations are not ready.
He said this after launching the National Transport Policy 2019-2030 on Thursday.
