The coastal city of Chonburi southeast of the Thai capital Bangkok has hosted its 148th annual Miss Beautiful Buffalo beauty pageant. The contest on October 12, 2019, was part of a buffalo fair held each year near the end of the rainy monsoon season and is meant to honour the animals for their hard work.
