With tensions escalating over Turkey's incursion into northern Syria, the UN Security Council has again set up a hastily-arranged meeting to discuss the rapidly unfolding situation.

Right Connyoung, the UN Security Council will hold a closed meeting on the situation in northeast Syria on Wednesday, local time.
Reuters reports that Germany requested the meeting on behalf of five EU council nations, including France, the UK and Poland.
The council held a closed-door meeting last Thursday but failed to reach a consensus with Russia and the U.S. opting instead for a joint statement signed by European countries.
Meanwhile, the fighting rages on in Syria.

With Turkish forces now aiming to target the northern Kurdish-held town of Manbij,...Syrian forces, following orders from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, entered Manbij on Monday, local time.
ALL U.S. troops in northern Syria have now evacuated the area.
Taking their place are Russian soldiers.
Moscow's special envoy for Syria said the clashes between Turkish and Syrian forces were "simply unacceptable" and therefore Russia would not allow it to continue.
