Philippine National Police chief Oscar Albayalde has resigned as the government investigates his involvement in the ‘ninja cops’ scandal in 2013. As chief of police in the country’s Pampanga province, Albayalde allegedly blocked the dismissal of officers who kept methamphetamine from a drug dealer who had tried to bribe them.
