Senior officials from North Korea and China have reaffirmed their countries' relationship and agreed that it's the duty of their militaries to protect those ties.
The North's state media said the political director of the North's military, Kim Su-gil, met Monday with his Chinese counterpart, Miao Hua in Pyeongyang.
Miao reportedly said their ties are "sealed in blood," and Kim called the duty to defend those ties "sacred."
