Former home minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says the police have shown professionalism in their crackdown on Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) supporters.
Zahid added that the crackdown is not politically motivated as it concerns national security.
It is understood that those arrested by the police so far include four DAP members, four members of the Naam Tamilar party and PAS Supporters Club (DHPP) member.
