National Assembly speaker Moon Hee-sang is set to embark on a 9-day trip to Serbia, Azerbaijan and Georgia from Sunday.
He will begin his trip in Serbia, where he will attend the 141st Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly on Monday.
Moon is expected to deliver a speech on the role that the union of 178 national parliaments plays in strengthening international law, as well as appeal for the support of IPU member states to help bring peace and denuclearization to the Korean peninsula.
Before returning home, Moon will visit Azerbaijan on Wednesday to meet his counterpart to discuss cooperation, especially in the economic sector.
On Thursday, Moon will drop by Georgia for talks with President Salome Zourabichvili on trade, investment and cooperation in the energy and transportation sectors.
