Harry Styles Releases
New Single ‘Lights Up’ At midnight on Oct. 11,
Harry Styles debuted
“Lights Up,” the first single
he’s released since 2017. He also released a music video alongside the song, which
features him happily dancing with various genders of people. This may hint to the 25-year-old's
ambiguous sexuality, as Oct. 11 is also
considered National Coming Out Day. Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, who previously
worked on Styles's debut album, co-wrote and
produced “Lights Up” along with Styles. The lyrics seem to focus on an emotional
struggle, with Styles singing about self-discovery
and asking, “do you know who you are?” “Lights Up” by Harry Styles “Lights Up” is believed to be a song off
of Styles’s forthcoming album, which is
expected to be released in the near future. In a September interview with ‘Rolling Stone,’
Styles described the album as
“all about having sex and feeling sad.”
