Firefighters were this afternoon battling flames which ripped through the Embassy of Indonesia in Bangkok, Thailand.
The emergency services were called at 12:40pm local time on Friday (October 11) after the blaze was spotted on the second floor of the building in the Ratchathewi district in the centre of the capital.
Thick grey smoke could be seen rising from the building for several miles around. One fireman on the scene said that police and rescue workers had evacuated staff from the building.
Several people were injured and taken to hospital. Officials had brought the fire under control and extinguished it by 2pm local time. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire.
