Hundreds of protesters gathered in a largely middle-class neighbourhood near Hong Kong's Tai Koo MTR station on October 3, 2019, as part of a citywide expression of anger about a proposed anti-mask law. The government measure reportedly would make the wearing of face masks during protests and rallies illegal. Protests took place in at least 11 locations, including near Tai Koo station, where protesters clashed with riot police who responded with tear gas and pepper spray.
