September was another month to forget on the trade front for South Korea.
The trade ministry says outbound shipments plunged eleven-point-seven percent on-year last month to around 44-point-7 billion U.S. dollars.
The nation's exports have been constantly declining since December 2018.
The volume of semiconductor and petrochemical exports increased, but their falling prices contributed to the overall decrease in September.
South Korea's exports to Japan went down close to six percent on-year... as the neighbors remain locked in a trade spat.
Imports slumped five-point-six percent on-year to some 38-point-seven billion dollars.
However, South Korea's trade surplus for September was the highest so far this year at five-point-nine billion dollars.
