The Seoul city government is giving foreigners Korean names as part of efforts to promote the Korean alphabet, hangeul.
The program is available to foreigners who reside overseas and are interested in Korean culture.
Those interested can download an application from the city's foreign language website and email the completed form to the provided email address.
Five to ten applicants will be selected each month.
Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon will give the first successful applicant a certificate with their Korean name written by him.
