"美 정체불명 '전자담배 폐질환', 대마성분 제품과 관련 의심"... 워싱턴주 전자담배 금지
For the first time, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said it suspects THC-containing products caused the recent spate of severe vaping-related illnesses.
According to a report released by the CDC on Friday, 77 percent of the 514 patients who developed severe lung illnesses vaped products containing THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.
The CDC recently confirmed over 800 cases of vaping-related illnesses, with at least 13 deaths in the U.S.
With concerns mounting, the state of Washington has joined several other U.S. states, including New York and Michigan, in temporarily banning sales of flavored vaping products.
