Sleeping workers at a hotel in southern India had a miraculous near-miss after an SUV crashed into the building at full speed on September 24.
The Two workers, who were on night shift, at The Lotus Hotel on I.G. road in Chikmagaluru, Karnataka state, were trying to catch up with their sleep in makeshift beds.
A CCTV camera at the hotel filmed the SUV barging into the reception area in the early hours of the day shattering the glass wall. The two sleeping men woke up in shock and ran to safety.
Police said the driver, who was coming from Kadur, lost control and crashed into the building.
“We are probing what caused the crash,” said a local officer.
