Good afternoon, Typhoon Tapah that drenched Korea's eastern and southern regions has moved out and the weakened weather system is moving toward northern Japan.
Today is Chubun the 16th of 24 solar terms throughout the year and falls in mid-autumn. It was a chilly, stormy day yesterday and most regions saw highs in the teens. Today's highs will jump 4 to 5 degrees higher than yesterday, while southern regions will see highs falling below the seasonal norms.
Highs will range from 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. Lingering showers over the east coast have let up and most regions will finally be under bright autumn skies this afternoon.
The rest of the week is forecast to be warmer than the seasonal norms under fairly sunny skies, while southern regions will see showers on Friday, which could linger into Saturday.
