The United States has made a preliminary decision to designate South Korea as a country that engages in illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.
It calls on Seoul to adopt tougher regulations on its fishing boats.
According to South Korea's ministry in charge of oceans,...Thursday's decision came after two South Korean fishing boats failed to comply with regulations of the Convention for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources while operating near Antarctica in 2017.
