South Korea's unification ministry, in charge of inter-Korean affairs, will hold a special event today to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Pyeongyang Joint Declaration signed by the leaders of the two Koreas.
The event will kick off at 10 a.m., Korea time, at the Office of Inter-Korean Dialogue in northern Seoul.
Over 100 people, including senior government officials, are expected to be in attendance.
The ministry hopes the event will be an opportunity to highlight the importance of peace, harmony and prosperity,... adding it will continue exerting efforts to implement the declaration in a swift manner.
Unification Minister Kim Yeon-chul is also scheduled to hold a dialogue with citizens at a hotel in downtown Seoul to explain the government's North Korea policies.
