Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg delivered a short,.. but direct message before a U.S. Congressional hearing on Wednesday,... calling on lawmakers to listen to scientists. Take a look.
"I am submitting this report as my testimony, because I don't want you to listen to me. I want you to listen to the scientists. And I want you to unite behind the science. Then I want you to take real action. Thank you."
The 16-year-old has been in Washington since last week,... to join activists in building support for a global climate strike,... and press U.S. lawmakers to take action.
Thunberg also met with former U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday.
Obama described the teenager on Twitter as "already one of the planet's greatest advocates."
