7th Death Reported Due to
Vaping-Related Lung Illness Officials in California confirmed that a
seventh person has died due to “complications
related to the use of e-cigarettes.” Dr. Karen Taught, Tulare County
Public Health Officer, via statement This is the second vaping related
death to occur in California. The other five deaths, who were primarily
middle-aged adults, occurred in Indiana,
Minnesota, Illinois and Oregon. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is
currently investigating a total of 380 confirmed
cases of severe lunge disease linked to vaping. This is a reduction from their Sept. 6
report of 450 cases spanning across
36 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
