Soap star Jamie Lomas was all smiles at the TV Choice Awards in London last night, greeting fans and taking selfies, although a backstage "incident" with an "Emmerdale" actor took the gloss off the event.
According to UK media, actor Asan N'jie from "Emmerdale" had to be pulled apart by security from "I'm a Celebrity" star Lomas at the event, which took place on Monday night at the Hilton Park Lane hotel in London's Mayfair.
According to the Daily Mirror, N'jie "threw punches" at Lomas, who has also starred in "Eastenders" and "Hollyoaks," in a sweary exchange. Celebrities such as comedienne Katharine Ryan reportedly "ran out of the way."
The paper quoted an ITV spokesman as saying: "We are extremely concerned to hear about an incident at last night's TV Choice Awards involving one of 'Emmerdale''s cast.
"Obviously we will be investigating and talking to the actor concerned in due course."
