Ezekiel Elliott Pledges $100,000 to
Salvation Army After Signing NFL Contract Following his recent signing of a six-year, $90 million
contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys, Elliott
has decided to give back to the Dallas community. Ezekiel Elliott, to
'TMZ Sports' Elliott has had a long relationship with the Salvation
Army, beginning with his 2016 decision to jump into
a donation kettle while celebrating a touchdown. According to the Salvation Army, donations
jumped by 61% after his stunt, resulting in a total
of $180,971 donated in only the first 24 hours. Many of the donations were
reportedly made in $21 increments
as a homage to Elliott’s jersey number. Elliott revisited the kettle again in 2018, agreeing to match up
to $21,000 in $21 donations made to the Salvation Army. As of now, his website promotes the matching
of $21 donations, as well as the donation
of $21 for every item purchased by fans.
