This is the heart-stopping moment police catch a suspected drug dealer after a high-speed car chase on September 4.
Isara Prachan, 35, and Niphon Buakaew, 34, were stopped by officers while travelling on the road in Pattaya, Thailand.
But the motorists did not follow the order and instead accelerated through the checkpoint. The police called for backup and gave chase.
Footage around 11.30pm shows the officers were chasing the white sedan through the narrow streets.
Several gunshots are also heard in the video as the officers were attempting to shoot the rear wheel to stop the speeding vehicle.
The police eventually caught the suspicious drivers after they were blocked by a local carnival and reached a dead end.
They allegedly found a pack of Ketamine inside the car. Another bag containing methamphetamine was also found inside a tissue box thrown from the window.
Police questioned the couple and Isara confessed that he was the owner of Ketamine but claimed to have no idea about the methamphetamine.
The alleged drug dealer also said that he was speeding the car because he was in a panic when the police began shooting at them.
He said: ''I didn't mean to escape the police search. I drove away because I was afraid I might get shot if I stopped the car.''
The initial investigation revealed that Isara once involved with the drug issue in 2011. The couple is now detained for legal proceedings at the Pattaya police station.
