MANILA - Former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada on Monday said the evidence against his son, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, is weak. Estrada said the prosecution's failed attempt to amend the plunder case is a sign the case was rushed. "Ang plunder malaking bagay e. Dapat may assurance na dapat P50 million ang talagang dineliver or binigay. wala naman silang pruweba," he said in an interview on ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda. Estrada also criticized Justice Secretary Leila de Lima for allegedly making unfair comments about the case. The older Estrada was also tried for plunder in 2001. Though convicted, he was later pardoned by former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. ANC DATELINE PHILIPPINES, June 30, 2014
