MANILA – Technical problems did not stop Sarah Geronimo from performing at the Miss Manila 2014 grand coronation night on Tuesday. When the 25-year-old singer was about to perform, instead of using a minus-one, they played one that had vocals. While obviously surprised, Geronimo remained calm on stage and just decided to interact with the audience as the technical team fixed the problem. “Magandang gabi po. Ang galing po ng mga kandidata natin no? Ang gaganda pa. Pasensya na po. Sandali lamang ito,” she said. Some organizers were later seen approaching the singer. Even Manila Mayor President Joseph Estrada was seen getting up from his seat, appearing anxious about the situation. The Kapamilya star, however, was just all smiles as she patiently waited for the minus-one to play. Several minutes later, Geronimo was able to perform her number, which pays tribute to the City of Manila. The singer also had the audience cheering for her even after her performance.
