MANILA -- Father and son Atty. Jose Sison and Jopet Sison gave their legal advice for women in situations similar to those on the hit series "The Legal Wife," starring Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador and Angel Locsin. Promoting the return of legal drama "Ipaglaban Mo" on ABS-CBN, the Sisons appeared on "Umagang Kay Ganda" on Tuesday and shared their thoughts on what a legal wife should do if she catches her husband cheating. "Gusto ko lang muna sabihin bago ko sagutin ito, na itong ating programa, 'Ipaglaban Mo,' hindi kami nagbibigay ng payo sa programang ito. Na-desisyunan na ito ng Supreme Court," Atty. Jose Sison clarified. Returning to the original question, he explained: "Ito nakita ko dito, pwede niyang kasuhan ng adultery ang kabit at asawa kung huli sa akto at may ebidensiya. At saka kung huli sa akto at pinatay, justified yon, exempting circumstance kung talagang napatay mo, kung talagang in the act." Asked of what a wife should do if ever she killed her husband's mistress during a confrontation, the older Sison said: "Kung in the act na nag-tatalik sila, 'yung pagkakapatay ay exempting circumstance." "Ipaglaban Mo" was one of top-rating and longest-running shows on television back in the '90s. After 15 years, the series is set to debut on Kapamilya network this Saturday with its first episode "Hindi Ko Sinasadya Yaya." The elder Sison stressed that all the episodes are based on cases that have already been decided upon by the Supreme Court. The legal drama will also feature several of the country's top TV directors including Rep. Lino Cayetano, Ricky Rivera, Erik Salud, Rechie del Carmen, Manny Palo and Eric Quizon. "Ipaglaban Mo" will debut on June 7 after "It's Showtime."
