U.S. President Donald Trump has made himself clear once again that he is not looking for a regime change in North Korea... and that he believes North Korea has tremendous economic potential.
While addressing journalists' questions at the White House on Wednesday, Mr. Trump lumped North Korea and Iran together as he suggested the possibility of striking a deal with them.
"We're not looking for regime change. They have tremendous potential. And I think they're going to want to take advantage of that potential. I really believe that. I think North Korea is a country with tremendous potential and I think they're going to want to take advantage of it. So we'll see what happens."
Such remarks are seen as a gesture to get the North back to the negotiating table amid a deadlock in the North Korea, U.S. denuclearization talks and as analysts say time is not in Trump's favor.
During the G7 Summit held in France late last month,... Trump also commented on the regime's potential,... while addressing questions on Iran.
